Nagrada "Zeljko Trgovcevic" 

This award was established in honour and memory of the academician Zeljko Trgovcevic, our highly-respected molecular genetitian, and is jointly presented by the Croatian Genetic Society and the Molecular Biology Department of the Rudjer Bosković Institute (the RBI). The RBI and the CGS established this award primarily in order to pay their respect and express their gratitude to Zeljko Trgovcevic for his outstanding contribution to the development of molecular biology in the Republic of Croatia, but also to aid further promotion of this scientific discipline.
The Zeljko Trgovcevic Award was first established in 2001, and is conferred to young fellow-researchers in recognition of their valuable original contributions in the field of molecular biology, prepared in the Republic of Croatia. The value and scientific merit of the competing contributions are appraised based on the original papers published in top-ranked journals devoted to molecular biology topics.
